Celebrating Artist Isabel Nolan before she takes to the global stage at the Venice Biennale

Last week, we opened the doors of No. 5 Northumberland Road to some of Ireland’s leading artists and art lovers.

The occasion was to celebrate the work of artist Isabel Nolan, including her vibrant piece Fired Up, recently acquired by Clinch Chair & Director, Michele McGuirk. The timing of Michele’s acquisition was serendipitous, as Clinch also seized the opportunity this year to step up as Headline Partner for Ireland’s representation at the 61st Venice Biennale.

That gave us two reasons to raise a glass to Isabel as she embarks on her adventure to Venice in just a few days’ time, where her work will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest contemporary art in the world.

For Clinch, this is much more than a sponsorship; it is a commitment to the stewardship of Irish excellence and achievement in the visual arts.

The goodwill in Clinch’s airy loft was palpable, topped off by a mesmerising performance from Grammy-award winning musician Francesco Turrisi, who brought a touch of Italian romance to No. 5.

We wish Isabel, and the entire Ireland at Venice team, a fair wind.
