Inspired by Venice
Last week, the Clinch team were inspired by Venice. Its ‘Arsenale’ is known to be the world’s first ever large-scale industrial enterprise. It was founded in 1104 – almost a thousand years ago – and was at its peak in the 16th century when it was a global hub of innovation.
Venice transforms into one expansive art gallery during its Biennale, with the Irish pavilion and Isabel Nolan’s ‘Dreamshook’ housed in the historic Arsenale. Many of the bigger nation states have purpose-built pavilions in the lush ‘Giardini’. Many other smaller nations have exhibitions scattered across the city.
Being on the ground in Venice last week at the opening of the 61st Biennale, the connection between this city’s merchant history and its artistic legacy was so vivid. As Venice was once the global lynchpin for trade and innovation, the Biennale is now the world’s meeting point for excellence in the visual arts.
For Clinch Wealth Management, standing in the Arsenale as Headline Partner was a moment of immense pride. We are honoured to support Ireland’s voice in this global conversation, ensuring our best talent stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the finest in the world.
